Liquid CO2 Terminal & Process Design

Carbon Dioxide capture and storage is a fundamental step in cleaning up our Earth’s atmosphere, whether that be CO2 emitted from a power station or industrial activity.

 
Whilst large scale CO2 storage is possible in underground caverns and exhausted oil and gas fields, not all countries have access to these geological benefits. Therefore, large scale storage is required prior to onward shipment to other countries. Additionally smaller scale storage is also required for inland site locations.

Tanks to collect CO2 prior to onward shipment require the CO2 to be stored at temperatures below 31°C and above the product’s triple point, consideration should also be given to the high density of CO2. Whessoe can produce LCO2 designs to suit specific customer requirements.

Whessoe will design bespoke storage solutions to handle the intermediate storage of your LCO2 whether spheres or smaller bullets are required.
